Exhibitions, in Naples the presentation of the project “Tessuti Umani”

On Monday 16 June at 6 pm at the Acquedotto Augusteo del Serino alla Sanità, “Tessuti Umani” will be presented, the artistic project by Rosaria Corcione curated by Valentina Rippa with the artistic and organizational direction of Luisa Corcione as part of “Visioni contemporanee” a project promoted and financed by the Municipality of Naples.
The event, which will be attended by the artist, the curator and the artistic director, as well as the activist Angelica De Vito and the associations Aqua Augusta, Tuenda and maDre, was created with the aim of telling and at the same time involving the entire community in the creation of the first piece that makes up the entire project, namely the collection of waste materials whose subsequent transformation will contribute to the creation of the works of the exhibition installation “Tessuti Umani” that will be inaugurated next October in the spaces of the Acquedotto Augusteo del Serino.
Developed entirely with the intent of uniting contemporary art, ecology and collective participation, Tessuti Umani intends, through this first act, to raise public awareness of the ecological crisis and the problem of microplastic pollution and at the same time make evident the ability of the artistic process to restore beauty.
Through a real call to action, citizens are therefore invited, starting from Monday 16 June, to collect as many labels from plastic bottles as possible, which through the organization of dedicated artistic workshops, will then be transformed into materials that will contribute to the creation of the installation.
Making the participation of the entire city territory even more evident is the active collaboration of cultural and social entities that, together with refreshment places, private studios and boutiques, will welcome in their spaces, during their business hours, the box where to store the labels. In detail, the collection points will be: the headquarters of the Municipality of Bacoli, Teatro Bellini, Teatro Mercadante, Sala Assoli, Circolo Nautico Posillipo, Napoli Opera House, Officine San Carlo, Ristorante al 53, Tentacoli Boutique, Biscotteria Tre Gufetti sul Comò, Pizzeria Antonio Sorbillo, Travis Peiron Studio Medico. Each collection box will also be described in detail, along with the entire process and artistic action implemented, so as to underline each individual act of transformation step by step.
The project is supported by consolidated entities in the territory by Acqua Augusta: an association committed to the enhancement of the Augusteo Aqueduct of Serino in Naples and which will also be the exhibition venue. Sanitansamble, the youth orchestra of Forcella – Sanità, Associazione Tuenda, committed to safeguarding the environmental and artistic heritage that will support the creation of the laboratories, the Associazione Progetto maDre, active in the recovery of microplastics from the seas and in ecological awareness that will collaborate in educational meetings with citizens. Mach Power Italy Srl, a company specialized in immersive technologies, will provide support for the creation of the immersive audio and video system.
